Cleansing and
Nourishing the Female Body
~ Gwilda Wiyaka ~
It’s difficult to become empowered if we are not physically
strong. If we’re bogged down with toxins, excess weight and the resulting ill
health, (then?) depression and diminishment is much more likely than
empowerment.
At the same time, with the increasingly polluted and
stressful environment, there are more challenges to our physical health than
ever before.
Women deal with stress and pollutants differently than
men. For example, our hormones and cycles are much more complex, and greatly
impacted by the plastic products releasing estrogenic chemicals. More women
than men suffer from calcium deficiency resulting in bone loss. Environmental
illness is significantly more common among women. Losing weight is more
difficult for women than men, and so on.
As women, how can we strengthen, support and nourish
our bodies? What can we do to compensate for the ever present environmental
pollutants in our air, water and food? Once we are bogged down with toxic load,
are we stuck with it, or is there a way to reverse the condition? What are the
signs of toxicity in women? What health challenges are related to toxicity?
