Dreams the Hidden
Messengers
~ Gwilda Wiyaka ~
Dreams – we all have them whether we remember them or
not. We spend over one third of our time sleeping, and over twenty five percent
of our sleep in dreams. This is true of humans as well as animals. Yet what is
the purpose of dreams? Most of us simply shrug them off, if we remember them at
all. Yet in so doing, we very well may be passing up an amazing amount of vital
information. From processing to precognition, dreams are a rich resource when
we learn how to work with them. Dreams are important to everyone, but like
feminine intuition, women’s dreams can be particularly profound.
How can we learn to work with our dreams and unearth
the hidden messages within? What impact can recalling and understanding our
dreams have on our waking life and decision making capabilities? Can dreams
give us messages about the future or health? Is the dream landscape set, or is
it evolving as we do?
With us this hour to delve into the dreamscape is Dr. Christopher Sowton. Christopher is a naturopath and
dreamworker. Based in Toronto, his practice focuses on dreamwork. Since 2003,
Christopher has been training health care practitioners of all kinds to integrate
dreamwork into their practice. He is a member of the IASD (International
Association for the Study of Dreams) and has published 2 books on working with
dreams – "Dreamworking – How to Listen to the Inner Guidance of Your
Dreams,” and “The Dreamworking Manual – A Guide to Using Dreams in Health Care.”
