Allergies: A Mother’s Triumph

Allergies: A Mother’s Triumph
~ Gwilda Wiyaka ~
As women, we may resign ourselves to the apparent best the system or our circumstances have to offer – suffering in silence. As mothers, when we see our children in distress, we become like Tasmanian devils, leaving no stone unturned in our search for solutions. If we don’t find those solutions in the mainstream, many of us look to the mysterious, the unorthodox, the unexpected, trying to uncover what the others have missed.
To a doctor, our children are a set of symptoms to be pigeon holed, diagnosed, treated, and hopefully healed. To a mother, they are unique – blood of our blood.
We seem to have an inside track to the mysterious workings of our children on all levels. This age-old insight has a name – mother’s intuition. When empowered to follow it, many women have used mother’s intuition to unravel mysteries and provide solutions for their children that are missed by the mainstream.

With us this hour is just such a mother. Zen Honeycutt is the Founding Director of Moms Across America, a non-profit National Coalition of Unstoppable Moms, and author of the new book “UNSTOPPABLE: Transforming Sickness and Struggle into Triumph, Empowerment, and a Celebration of Community.” Zen has three boys with allergies and autism symptoms which greatly improved when they went GMO-Free and organic, and she knows that thousands of Moms are seeing the same results.
